These vegan prawns offer a flavorful, plant-based alternative to traditional seafood. Made from premium ingredients like konjac powder and modified potato starch, they provide a shrimp-like texture without gluten, soy, or any garlic and onion. Ideal for a wide range of vegan and allergy-friendly recipes, these prawns are perfect for stir-fries, soups, and more!

Ingredients:

  • Water
  • Konjac Powder
  • Beta Glucan
  • Modified Potato Starch
  • Paprika
  • Sugar
  • Sea Salt
  • Carrageenan
  • Alginates
  • Calcium Hydroxide

Cooking Instructions:

Boiling:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of sea salt.
  2. Add the vegan prawns to the boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove from water and drain. They are now ready for your favorite stir-fry, sauté, or other dishes.

Stir-Frying:

  1. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the vegan prawns and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, occasionally flipping them, until golden and crispy on the edges.
  3. Add in your preferred vegetables, sauces, or spices for a complete dish.

Deep-Frying:

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F.
  2. Carefully drop the vegan prawns into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until they become crispy and golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain excess oil before serving.

Oven Baking:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the vegan prawns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through for even crispiness.

Grilling:

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Lightly oil the grill grate and grill the vegan prawns for 3-4 minutes per side or until charred and crispy.

It was okay.
They were super rubbery to me but then again I had someone who isn’t vegan cook them for me so I would assume if maybe I cooked them a different way they could be better, which is why I’m giving it a 2 instead of a 1. But if you’ve never had them before it’s worth trying to me.
