  • Water
  • Bleached Starch
  • Pasting Agent (Acetylated Distarch Phosphate, Sodium Polyacrylate)
  • Konjac Powder
  • Salt
  • Glutinous Rice Flour
  • Quality Improvement Agent (Sodium Carbonate Anhydrous Dioxide)
  • Sugar
  • Coloring Agent (Titanium Dioxide)
  • Coagulating Agents (Sodium Polyphosphate, Sodium Pyrophosphate, Potassium Metaphosphate)
  • Antioxidant (Sodium Erythorbate)
  • White Pepper

Cooking Instructions:

Stew:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the beef balls.
  2. Once cooked, add noodles or transfer to a stew for a hearty meal.
  3. These beef balls are particularly great in hot pot preparations due to their chewy texture.

Deep Fry:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the beef balls until heated through.
  2. Heat vegetable oil to approximately 350°F (175°C) in a wok or deep fryer.
  3. Prepare a batter using a prepackaged tempura mix.
  4. Dip the beef balls into the batter, ensuring they are completely coated.

Nothing like beef, no preparation guidance
This tastes nothing like beef, and is very obviously the same texture as the prawns (konjac?). Great texture for mimicking prawns or shrimp, but not beef! To make matters worse, unlike most May Wah products, there is very little advice on how to cook them.
