Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent the buns from sticking. Make small holes in the parchment paper to allow steam to circulate. Place the steamer pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil over high heat. Place the vegan buns in the lined steamer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart so they don’t stick together. Avoid overcrowding. Place the steamer basket over the boiling water, cover with a lid, and reduce the heat to medium. Steam the vegan vegan buns for about 7-10 minutes.
